This is a head trained and cane pruned vine from a Mosel Valley vineyard in Germany. It was trained to two canes with about 8 to 10 buds per cane and these canes were bent down and tied to
the main trunk, one to the left and one to the right. Each bud has produced a short cane in this photograph which was taken in mid spring.
