Why Donate to Grape Grower Solutions?        22 June 2007

Firstly we are not a non-profit organization, but our primary goal is to provide grape growers and anyone interested in grapes with free information and online resources to assist them with being successful with growing grapes for fun or for profit.

We are building multiple websites to support the members of the 60+ grape growing Yahoo groups (eGroups back then) we started about 7 years ago, including enologists, grapesrus and growgrapes and the members of the grapebreeders list at ibiblio.

Among our current projects, for which we still need funds, are to finalize work at vitisearch.com, which will be the largest grape growing products and services directory online to date (powered by the creators of the very successful  Cowboy.com), a wikipedia for grape growers, a grape variety database which is geared specifically to providing the information about varieties that growers and winemakers need (powered by the creator of the largest Dill's Atlantic Giant pumpkin genetics database at aggc.org ), a photo gallery where growers from anywhere can submit their photos and actually make money from their sales (powered by PhotoStore ), and most importantly we are working on a replacement for the Yahoo groups (powered by Community Server ), while providing the same features that the Yahoo groups have. (ie. Listserver combined with online forums) 

Our groups will not be filled with advertising unrelated to grapes.....and every cent of our small amount of necessary advertising will go to the improvement of our free grape growing resources.  We pledge to keep accountable every penny of your donation, by providing an accurate level of funds at all time and an accurate and updated lists of purchases we make with the funds.

We have many other resources on the way, such as a search engine for grape growing information only (powered by Extreme Corporate Executive search engine software) in addition to the other features listed above and will make those public as we advance further with them.  The result of all our projects will also naturally be an advertising network geared to bring growers together with grape growing products and services at reasonable rates, and give the growers some market leverage power, such as that of a co-op to enable the purchase of products at cheaper than retail rates.

Most of the requested funds are needed to purchase the best quality scripts available and a small amount is also needed for technical support.
